LOSE YOUR WAY. FIND YOUR VOICE.
UNBEATABLE is a rhythm-adventure game where music is illegal, and you do crimes. TALK your way through trouble as you explore vibrant locales. FIGHT your way through exciting arcade-perfect rhythm setpieces, featuring an original soundtrack by Peak Divide.
UNBEATABLE comes to Kickstarter on April 6th, 2021, launching alongside a special demo titled UNBEATABLE [white label], which will receive weekly updates from April 6th-May 7th. These updates will advance an episodic narrative made to complement the final game, as well as provide new levels and bug fixes throughout the Kickstarter campaign.
In late 2017, Andrew Tsai and Jeffrey Chiao worked together on a video game prototype – which eventually developed into D-CELL GAMES’ debut work. At the start of the following year, the duo began to work with troublemakers across the United States, where the rest of the “core” team came onto the project to develop the game. UNBEATABLE was publicly announced on December 25th, 2018. The game’s first official trailer was released in early 2020, with the team later winning the GDC Pitch 2020 Award that summer, pitching the project to a slew of well-known indie publishers.
D-CELL GAMES, in a effort to secure funding for UNBEATABLE and accelerate development on the project, is now launching a highly-requested Kickstarter campaign to help bring the game to life. The studio also will be delivering a unprecedented demo release (known as UNBEATABLE [white label]) to coincide with the Kickstarter, treating it as a side-story project in the world of UNBEATABLE.

D-CELL GAMES is a remotely operated studio that believes that the best way to make something that actually works as a crowd pleaser is to make the crowd hate you before winning them back. They don’t seek to only imitate the things we love; they want to understand them. UNBEATABLE, a narratively-driven rhythm game, is their first project.
Peak Divide, the audio team at D-CELL GAMES, is an anime-inspired rock band. UNBEATABLE is their first major project.
