ASSETS
HISTORY
In late 2017, Andrew Tsai and Jeffrey Chiao worked together on a video game prototype – which eventually developed into D-CELL GAMES’ debut work. At the start of the following year, the duo began to work with troublemakers across the United States, when the rest of the “core” team jumped onto the project.
UNBEATABLE was publicly announced on December 25th, 2018. The game’s first official trailer was released in early 2020, with the team later winning the GDC Pitch 2020 Award that summer. In 2021, with the success of the Kickstarter, UNBEATABLE has finally begun development proper and continues to be featured at various events.
FEATURES

* Battle to the beat however (and whenever you want) in the ARCADE MODE, available to play separately from the game’s story mode.
* A suite of accessibility options to allow anybody, even those intimidated by rhythm games, to enjoy our heartfelt, multi- chapter narrative.

SOUND BITES
"Have you ever gotten so into a song you literally can't stop playing it on repeat? One that hits a nerve so hard you catch yourself listening to it five, ten, twenty times in a row, slamming replay each time the final notes play? For me, that's Unbeatable."
– Natalie Clayton, PC Gamer
"Based on what we’ve seen of Unbeatable so far, we’re hooked."
– Morgan Shaver, Prima Games
"With its striking, pastel-colored anime visuals, loud rock guitar riffs, and energetic vocals, Unbeatable looks and sounds incredible."
– Alan Wen, The Verge
"Unbeatable’s “[white label]” demo is a masterpiece; it’s the kind of thing that leaves me in awe as to how human beings can be so creative and brilliant."
– Natalie Flores, Fanbyte
"爽やかで甘々なギターポップのサウンドや、「90年代に最新の海賊版アニメをモニターで見ているようなルック」というややこしいこだわりのグラフィックなどが印象的。"
– ミル☆吉村, FAMITSU
ABOUT D-CELL GAMES | PEAK DIVIDE
D-CELL GAMES is a remotely operated studio that believes the best way to make a crowd-pleaser is to make the crowd hate you before winning them back. They don't seek to only imitate the things they love; they want to understand them. UNBEATABLE, a narratively-driven rhythm game, is their first project.
PEAK DIVIDE, the audio team at D-CELL GAMES, is an anime-inspired rock band. UNBEATABLE is their first major project.
